What we do is less than a drop in the ocean. But if it were missing, the ocean would lack something.

Dear Philanthropist:
It’s heart-warming to see 164 people donated through a range of platforms to support our flood relief activities in Pakistan. The uplifting aspect of this donation drive is that people from across the South Asia are trusting us and supporting this endeavor. Thanks to each one of our South Asian community members and allies who have supported us thus far.

As of August 30, 2022, Saharo has raised $ 48,169.63. For non GOFUND Donors, we are sending you excel with all expenses and donations that will give you details on how we are spending your hard-earned money. For GOFUND Donors, we do not get your personal info so can’t send details via email unless you reach out to us at info@saharo.org.

Our volunteers are still on ground, putting their lives on stake by reaching to the areas where people are in critical need. We are asking volunteers to save humans, livestock, and pets as much as possible. We are working with local doctors and planning to organize health camps.

The need for medicines, dry milk, clean drinking water, mosquito nets, dry food products is growing day by day, so we are again coming to you for help. Please spread the word and invest personal efforts to support those who are at risk of losing their lives.

Floods in Pakistan have brought disaster in country with Sindh and Balochistan being the most affected areas. Saharo Foundation, a Maryland-based 501(C)(3) has been working on flood relief activities since 2007. Currently, we have teams on ground working day and night to provide the basic need items to displaced people in Larkana and Shikarpur areas.

We are organizing a health camp in many areas and working across the Sindh on relief activities. We have partner organization READ on ground ready to carry out large-scale relief activities.

Accountability is at the core of what we are doing, videos, pictures, local contact information, receipts, and other information is being closely monitored and cross checked to ensure your hard earned money goes into right hands.

We ask that please donate generously for this cause. We are grateful to those who have already donated.

Friends,

Recent floods in Pakistan is just the latest reminder that natural disaster can strike at any time. Fortunately, Saharo Foundation has always joined hands with READ (a local registered organization) to support displaced people during previous floods in Pakistan.

Saharo has been at the forefront during natural disasters and worked closely with the READ by assisting victims with housing, food, supplies and clean-up after catastrophic events. In addition to the devastating impact natural disasters have on lives and homes of people, water borne diseases severely impact the lives of displaced people.

From emergency shelters to food and medicine services, the heroic responses of our volunteers during times of crises are too numerous to name here. But one of the great characteristics of The Saharo Foundation is that we have donors like you who always donate their hard-earned money to support needy people.

There are many reasons to support these people in need. Our devotion to mutual helpfulness– especially when it comes to helping out disaster victims– has to be near the top of the list during this time.

Saharo and READ are ready to provide food, milk for infants, medicines, and other items of necessities like tents, support in mobility of victims to safe place.
